Communion on World Wide Communion Sunday – October 4, 2020
Recently Rev. Lynne asked Session to look at a way in which those members who would like to receive communion in person on World Wide Communion Sunday – October 4, 2020 be able to do so in a way that will be safe for everyone.
Following is our current plan for World Wide Communion Sunday … Please know that this plan is subject to change based on changes to Provincial or United Church of Canada guidelines
On October 4th Rev. Lynne will be offering communion as part of the livestream service that morning and, as well, an in person communion will be available beginning at 11:50 a.m. following the livestream service.
Those planning to participate in communion in person on October 4 are asked to register with Rev. Lynne – either by phone message or email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
NOTE: Before coming to the church, please assess yourself for any possible recent exposure to the Coronavirus and complete an Individual Self Assessment
 All attending must enter through the church hall. Your attendance will be recorded.
 Masks are required at all times while in the sanctuary or church hall.  On entering please use the hand sanitizer.  Participants are asked to practise social distancing as you move slowly through the back of the hall and into the sanctuary in front of the communion table to receive communion.  Communion at this time will include individual paper containers with a piece of bread or a wafer and a grape which each worshipper will pick up from a tray on the communion table as they file past. A member of session (who will stand 2 m. back from the communion table) will say the words offered for communion. Rev. Lynne will also stand socially distanced from the pick- up area.  The worshipper will lower their mask to take the communion elements and then put their mask immediately back on. Following communion, worshippers drop their paper container into a waste basket and then continue down the side aisle and out the front door of the church.
